Old Spanish Buildings in Bangued Abra Philippines
Going through some old photos I found these from our 2019 trip. Before the bombing of Bangued by the United States on March 10 1945, it was filled with buildings like this. In some parts of the Philippines, damage still remains unrepaired since World War Two. Whether this is the remnants of that or a later earthquake is hard to say. I am also not sure if it survived the recent strong earthquake that damaged my wife's house there. Still, it was nice to see the building supplies possibly denoting an effort toward restoration.
