The New Star Wars

As a lifelong fan of the Star Wars saga, I finally got around to watching the latest episode in the series. It fit in nicely with the first three epics with their juxtapositions of earthy planet scenes and metallic neo-fascist space noir. There must be something written somewhere about the sterile, linear, dangerously spotless environments in which the evil First Order/Empire is always shown and the more organic, fecund, dust strewn environments of the rebels, where technology always seems battered and slowly blending in with the surrounding nature. There is a naturalistic quality to the blending of high and low tech in the rebel universe and it's seamless melding with the natural world around it whether sand scape or forest.

I've already watched it twice, which is more than I can say for most movies that are one and done.
