Roman Gaul in the first and second centuries

Above is a map of Roman Gaul. The two extant carved reliefs depicting the vallus have been discovered in modern day Belgium. Interestingly, the distance between the reliefs discovered roughly 100 years apart from each other is only about 23 kilometers.
