I picked up a copy of
The Complete Book of Upland Bird Hunting by Shady Oak Press. A nice little introductory guide to the various upland game birds in North America. It is one of those books that is fun just to page through. It has well illustrated sections on each species, it's habitat and behavior and hunting techniques. It ranges in scope from the diminutive Mourning Dove to the bulky Turkey. This is nice basic reference to the hunting of upland game. Although it is recommended, I had hoped for more of a focus on the bird itself.
