Blacksmithing is that once indispensible skill that has been relegated to curious art form. The Backyard Blacksmith by Lorelei Sims is the best beginner guide that I've seen on the subject. How to books need to be profusely illustrated with lots of great demonstrative illustrations. This is just such a book. For the person interested in getting started in this ancient art, it is highly recommended.
