Information Trail
I have contacted the Minnesota Historical Society. They have several boxes of archival materials relating to the Farmers Union Central Exchange located in St Paul. Within these records are references to the tractors manufactured and sold from the 30's through the 50's. Here is a link to the list of records in the archive.

In the future, one could imagine the materials in this archive having some sort of accessible and searchable online prescence. Archival research is already greatly enhanced by allowing access to indexs of archival holdings online
Today, the reality will mean driving to St Paul to examine the portion of the documents that the public is allowed to access. I will not be allowed access to some documents and materials because of their delicate condition. Archival access and therby the process of research and knowledge would be greatly enhanced by the process of moving these items online.
